Nicki Maslanka

Nicki Maslanka is the Director of Revenue Cycle Management at The Joxel Group, where she partners with behavioral health, public and private-sector organizations to improve billing operations, strengthen financial controls, and create sustainable revenue cycle processes. She leads operational assessments, workflow redesign, revenue integrity initiatives, system optimization, and coaching for billing and accounts receivable teams.

Her career spans more than 22 years in healthcare revenue cycle management, including extensive leadership experience with a large county in Wisconsin. Her areas of expertise include Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial billing; payer relations; denial prevention; accounts receivable reduction; financial reporting; claims transactions; and electronic health record systems.

Nicki has helped organizations recover substantial amounts in missed revenue, substantially reduce outstanding accounts receivable, improve clean-claim performance, and correct longstanding billing backlogs. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Marquette University, a background that complements her ability to understand both organizational needs and the human impact of effective healthcare operations.

What she enjoys most is helping clients and teams move from frustration and uncertainty to clarity, consistency, and measurable improvement. She believes effective leadership begins with listening, building trust, setting clear expectations, and developing solutions that work in day-to-day operations.

Outside of her professional role, Nicki enjoys family time, reading, travel, and concerts.
